My Halloween playlist. Swing, sway and shock. These otherworldly siren songs creep right under my skin every Halloween. Oh who am I kidding, as Ministry says "Everyday is Halloween" — at least for me.
Spellbound - Siouxsie And The Banshees
Lydia Lunch - Spooky Hands down, my favorite version of this song.
Psychic TV - Godstar Legend has it that Brian Jones (who was dead at the time of this recording) sings back-up on this track. Well this band believes it so who am I to question?
Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead Ok, an obvious pick, but it doesn't get much better than this.
Nina Hagan - Born in Xixax I don't think Nina did a video for this song but she should have. A classic!
Siouxsie and The Banshees - Dear Prudence The Beatles may have wrote it but once Siouxsie puts her macabre spin on it - she owns it.
Dead Can Dance - The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove Hypnotic, dark seduction. The Doors resurrected for the 1990's
I Put A Spell On You - Screamin' Jay Hawkins
Eartha Kitt- I Wanna Be Evil Words can't begin to describe one of the most charismatic women who ever lived. Nope, even Beyonce trembles in the presence of this goddess possessed.
David Bowie- I'm Deranged ( Lost Highway )
Mystery Man - Lost Highway Not a song, but a scene that terrifies me. Only Lynch can make your heart stop with cold fear and then unleash a dark sense of humor. Still, you'll NEVER catch me watching this scene home alone - at night.
And now for some very cool requests!!
Tom Waits - Whistlin' Past The Graveyard
Requested by my soul sista Delaine
It's Party Time- 45 Grave
These next three are all from Return of The Living Dead- and they're going out to Delaine!
The Cramps - The Surfin' Dead
SSQ - Tonight
Nick Cave and PJ Harvey - Henry Lee
Suggested by Micheal Benitez
Nick Cave- Red Right Hand
The Cranes - Fragile
Siouxsie and the Banshees- Face to Face
For my alter ego
